San Juan College reported a 5.9% rise in in-state tuition fees for the 2022-23 school year, based on the latest figures available, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

New Mexico residents paid $1,714 to attend the two-year public college this year, which is $96 higher than the $1,618 charged during the 2021-22 academic year.

Non-resident students faced tuition costs that were 184.8% higher than those for in-state students in 2022-23, amounting to $4,882. This represents a 7.4% increase from the $4,546 tuition in 2021-22.

Approximately 74% of the undergraduate student body at San Juan College are residents of New Mexico. Students from other states make up about 23%, while international students account for 2%.

Data indicates that 94% of full-time undergraduates who enrolled at San Juan College in 2022-23 received some form of financial aid. A total of 284 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $1.8 million, and 20 students borrowed federal student loans amounting to over $103,787.

Across all undergraduates, 2,842 students utilized grants or scholarships totaling $13.9 million. Additionally, 288 students took out federal student loans totaling $1.5 million.
