San Juan County issued the following announcement on Mar. 22.
San Juan County will continue to serve the public, and fire and law enforcement response remains uninterrupted, however, many County services will be by appointment only or available anytime online.
In response to the Public Health Order issued on March 19, 2020, San Juan County is taking steps to protect the public and our employees by moving many in-person services to appointment only and encouraging people to use already available online services starting March 23, 2020. These changes will remain in effect until the expiration of the Public Health Order which mandated these changes.
The hours of operation for county services will remain the same, most departments are offering services over the phone or in-person, by appointment only. Please contact the specific department for appointments. For questions, please call the County switchboard, Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm at (505) 334-9481.
