New Mexico schools offer grab and go breakfast and lunch for students. | USDA.gov
School districts across Arizona are working during this coronavirus pandemic to ensure that students continue to get breakfast and lunch they would have if school were in session.
The Rio Grande Sun published the list of schools offering grab and go meals at different sites.
They include Chama Valley School District, which is offering both meals at the following locations: Brazos/Los Ojos at the 512 mailboxes: 11:30 a.m.; Canjilon Community Center: 12 p.m.; Cebolla Community Center: 11:30 a.m.; Chama Elementary Cafeteria: 11:30 a.m.; El Vado, at the turnoff to the state park: 12 p.m.; Escalante High School: 11:30 a.m.; Family Dollar Lumberton: 12 p.m.; Rutheron Store: 11:30 a.m.; Tierra Amarilla Elementary: 11:30 a.m. and the U.S. Highway 84 Nutrias turnoff: 11:15 a.m.

The Espanola Public School District is providing grab-and-go meals for children 18 and younger at a variety of sites around the community. Parents and families are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the designated delivery time.
Their locations include: Abiquiú Elementary: Breakfast: 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.; Lunch: 11:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Dixon Elementary: Breakfast: 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.; Lunch: 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Española Valley High School: Breakfast: 7:45 to 8:30 a.m.; Lunch: 11:45 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Students from Mesa Vista School District can pick up breakfast and lunch at the following locations: El Rito Elementary: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Mesa Vista School District Central Office: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.; and the Ojo Caliente Cafeteria: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Monday through Thursday, Mesa Vista School District bus drivers will run the Ojo Caliente bus route starting at 8 a.m. When students hear the bus honk, they can come out to grab breakfast and lunch. Mesa Vista bus drivers will run the El Rito area route, first drop off at the CC camp at 9 a.m.; then the bus will go to the Canon Route at 9:20 and then the Placitas route.
The meals will be dropped off two hours later than normal school pickup, leaving at 8 a.m. This means that for students who are usually picked up at 7 a.m., meals will arrive around 9 a.m.
At the Peñasco School district, youth up to age 18 can get breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday through April 3, at the following locations: Casitas Playground: 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.; Chamisal Fire Station: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Ojo Sarco Community Center: 10 a.m to 12 p.m.; Peñasco School Cafeteria: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; and Picuris Pueblo: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
