San Juan College issued the following announcement on July 22.
Learn more about how classes will be offered at San Juan College this fall – from online to face-to-face courses and even a combination of both. Choose from one of six free, live webinar sessions, which will be held Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, at 7 a.m., noon, and 7 p.m., each day. To join a webinar, visit: https://zoom.us/j/92853545261
Attendees will have an opportunity to connect with instructors and learn more about the engaging and interactive ways San Juan College will deliver classes this fall. In addition, financial aid and advising staff will be on hand to answer questions about registering for classes and how to pay for college. Information also will be provided about how students can continue their education while staying safe at home, and the many university transfer options that are available through San Juan College.
“We’ve all had to adapt to a different type of learning environment, but it is a challenge we have met well,” said Sherri Cummins, Assistant Professor of First-Year Experience and webinar coordinator. “We are excited to showcase the new ways we will offer dynamic and interactive classes this fall. We encourage new and current students, as well as parents and family members to attend a webinar session.”
This ‘sneak peek’ will not only give webinar attendees an opportunity to learn how instructors have prepared for the fall, but to also ask them questions and hear from other students about how San Juan College is helping them succeed. Information about support services including technology assistance and free tutoring also will be addressed.
“While a lot has changed, our commitment to our students and their success remains strong,” Cummins said. “We are dedicated to helping our students move forward and prepare for their future.”
