8.2% of San Juan County residents considered unemployed in 2021

San Juan County recorded an unemployment rate of 8.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 4,104 people out of the 122,912 living in San Juan County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in San Juan County has remained fairly stable compared to the 8.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in San Juan County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 45,764 people who had a job during that time, 5 were employed in the Armed Forces and 45,759 belonged to the civilian labor force.
