Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence

Sexual

San Juan County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on March 30.

We would like to thank Chick-fil-A Main Street & English Road for donating meals for our Girls with G.R.I.T. class last night.  We discussed Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.  We are always honored to have Becky Johnson come and speak to our girls about her story of being a survivor of sexual assault.

If you would like to hear Becky’s story, you can view this video on YouTube.

Becky speaks out in a hope that sexual assault victims will come forward about their assault and seek resources to heal.  She hosts an annual 5k during Sexual Assault Awareness Month to bring awareness and encourage others to expose their experiences. The 5k is called Silence No More.

If you or anyone you know is ever a victim of sexual assault or domestic violence, please reach out to law enforcement for help.  We can get you the resources you need.
