The leak has been mitigated and the road is back open.

Happening now - about 1/4 mile in on Road 2896 a high pressure gas line has been struck. Crews from SJCFR are working with from NMGCO to get the station mitigated. This incident is going to require the closing of Road 2896 for an extended period of time while the leak is fixed. Please avoid the area. We will update this post when thethe road is reopened.
