The Central Consolidated School District (CCSD) in Shiprock, New Mexico, has announced the appointment of Dominic Sategna as its new Director of Finance. Sategna brings extensive experience in finance, architecture, planning, and public service to his new role. He also has strong connections to the local community.

Sategna's professional background includes a decade-long tenure as a senior analyst in investment management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Policy Planning from the University of New Mexico. Before entering the finance sector, Sategna worked in architecture and planning, focusing on school buildings and training centers. He collaborated with Ann Taylor, a professor at UNM, on projects that integrated architecture into K-12 education to enhance learning in math and science.

In addition to his financial expertise, Sategna has contributed to public service by serving three years on Santa Fe's planning commission and leading a Homeowners Association as president.

A native of Bloomfield, New Mexico, Sategna is returning to the area after living in Santa Fe for ten years. His family has deep roots in education within the region. Committed to preserving Diné culture and the Navajo language, Sategna aims to make decisions that positively impact the community while appreciating all cultures present.

"I am excited to return home and bring my experience in finance, planning, and public service to Central Consolidated School District," said Sategna. "I am deeply committed to the students and the culture here, and I look forward to ensuring that every dollar amount counts for every student in CCSD."
