They are at it again! Please be aware that there are scammers currently calling San Juan County citizens claiming to be Lt. Mike White with the SJCSO and trying to collect money for missed court. They are being so nice by telling you to go in person to pay the fine, but for your convenience they will accept payment over the phone.
1. We have no Lt. Mike White
2. We don’t collect court fees
3. The SJCSO actually doesn’t collect any fees over the phone.
Please don’t fall for this or any scam out there! Always call the actual agency they are pretending to be to validate claims.
