The Central Consolidated School District (CCSD) is actively working with the Navajo Police Department and the San Juan County Office of Emergency Management following a recent threat to one of its schools. The threat was received on the evening of November 15, but authorities have since identified the suspect, resolving the situation.

CCSD emphasized that individuals or students making threats will face serious legal consequences and disciplinary actions. "Please be aware that individuals/students who make school threats will face the full extent of the law," stated CCSD in their communication.

Parents are encouraged to discuss with their children the severe implications of making threats to schools. This dialogue aims to foster a culture of safety and responsibility within the school community. "Open communication and understanding are essential in preventing incidents and ensuring a secure learning environment for all," CCSD advised.

The district is partnering with local authorities across Navajo Nation and San Juan County to reinforce that school threats are serious matters. Prompt reporting of any threats to law enforcement is crucial for swift assessment.
