Central Consolidated School District, alongside other districts across the nation, is alerting families to a cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, the provider of their Student Information System (SIS). On January 7, 2025, PowerSchool notified Central Consolidated School District and other districts that there was unauthorized access to certain customer data.

The breach primarily involved parent and student contact information such as names and addresses. In some instances, personally identifiable information (PII), including Social Security Numbers (SSNs) and medical details, may have been accessed.

Central Consolidated School District is collaborating with PowerSchool to assess the full impact on their school community. PowerSchool has undertaken an investigation into the incident and will supply further information and resources to Central Consolidated School District. This may include credit monitoring or identity protection services if necessary.

Families will receive updates from Central Consolidated School District as more details become available.
