Tse Bit Ai Middle School in Shiprock, New Mexico, recently hosted its Special Olympics event, concluding with a Corn Hole competition. The event was part of a week-long celebration that included a spirit week where students dressed in various themed outfits.

The event highlighted the courage and camaraderie among students. Many who were initially hesitant to participate gained confidence through the support of student coaches and staff members like Ms. Farley. The focus was on participation and mutual support rather than winning.

Students received enthusiastic cheers for each successful throw, reinforcing the school's message of "I can do it." The atmosphere was positive, with students celebrating all achievements.

A special acknowledgment was given to the dedicated coaches, including staff and student mentors, for their role in supporting the athletes. Their encouragement helped create an empowering environment for all participants.

The spirit of the Special Olympics will continue with upcoming events at NHS on March 28th, KCHS on April 10th, SHS on April 17th, and KMS at a date yet to be announced.
