Central Consolidated School District (CCSD) has announced the appointment of Alex Garrubba as its new Director of Operations. Mr. Garrubba, who has lived in the Four Corners area since 2013, brings extensive experience from his previous roles in maintenance and operations.
His career includes over nine years with United States Steel and various heavy equipment firms. He also spent a decade as a Manager on the Navajo Nation, where he oversaw maintenance, railroad, and plant operations for Navajo Mine. Most recently, he served as Project Manager for the Public School Facilities Authority, collaborating with several districts including CCSD.
Mr. Garrubba's expertise spans maintenance, transportation systems, and construction. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Organizational Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh and an MS in Business Ethics along with an MBA focused on Sustainable Business from Duquesne University.
Mr. Garrubba expressed his enthusiasm for contributing to CCSD's success and looks forward to working with its staff and community.
