San Juan County issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held at the hour of 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at the San Juan County Commission Chambers, County Administration Building, 100 S. Oliver Drive, Aztec, New Mexico, for the purpose of allowing comment either for or against the amendment of the San Juan County Subdivision Regulations. The hearing will be conducted by a hearing officer, Douglas A. Echols.
For those who wish to make comment during the meeting, you may join from a computer or mobile device. Specific instructions will be posted at sjcounty.net/watch. Comments will be called for and users may use the ‘raise hand’ button to indicate you wish to comment, or by using the chat. A moderator will address you and unmute your microphone so you may comment.
The proposed amendments are available for public inspection during normal and regular business hours at the office of the County Clerk, 100 S. Oliver Drive, Aztec, New Mexico, or from the Subdivision Review Officer, 209 S. Oliver Drive, Aztec, New Mexico. The proposed amendments are also available in full here. The title and a general summary of the proposed Regulations are as follows:
SAN JUAN COUNTY SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
These Regulations are to provide for harmonious development of unincorporated areas of San Juan County, for coordination of streets within subdivisions with other existing or planned streets of the County, for adequate open spaces for traffic, recreation, light, and air, and for a distribution of population and traffic which will tend to create conditions favorable to health, safety, convenience, and prosperity.
In lieu of oral comments at the public hearing, written comments may be submitted to the Hearing Officer at 100 S. Oliver Drive, Aztec, NM 87410.
