SAN JUAN COUNTY: San Juan County Commission Seeks to Fill Position of Probate Judge

San Juan County issued the following announcement on Nov. 18. 

San Juan County Commission is now accepting letters of interest and resumes for candidates to fill a vacancy after the resignation of the San Juan County Probate Judge.

After the resignation of the Honorable Stacy Biel from her position, a vacancy exists in the officer of the San Juan County Probate Judge. The position will be filled through appointment by the San Juan County Commission.

San Juan County Commissioners will accept applications through Friday, December 11, 2020. Commissioners plan to make an appointment at the regular Commission meeting on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Eligible citizens must be residents of San Juan County and registered to vote.

Those wishing to apply for appointment should submit a packet containing information about the applicant’s qualifications and relevant experience. The full requirements can be found here.

Submissions must be received by 6:00 p.m. on December 11, 2020. Applicants may send their letter of interest and required materials by any method below.
