San Juan College issued the following announcement on Dec. 17. 

The San Juan College campus will be closed for the winter break Saturday, December 19 through Sunday, January 3.

             There will be no classes or activities scheduled, and all offices will be closed.  This includes the main campus, as well as the East Campus in Aztec, West Campus in Kirtland, and all other satellite locations.

            The Health and Human Performance Center (HHPC) will be remain open with a few exceptions.  The HHPC will be closed on Thursday, December 24 and Friday, December 25, as well as Friday, January 1. It will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 31.  The HHPC will observe normal hours the remainder of the time:  Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The HHPC is closed on Sundays.  For more information about the HHPC, call 505-566-3410.

            The San Juan College Rental Center will also remain open during Winter Break on Mondays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.   The Rental Center is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays. The Rental Center has gear for outdoor winter adventures, such as snowshoes and snowboards. For more information about outdoor rental equipment or reservations, call 505-566-3221.

The San Juan College Department of Public Safety will continue to have security officers on duty around the clock during the Winter Break. If you need assistance, please contact a security officer at 505-566-3333.

San Juan College campus will reopen on Monday, January 4.  The hours of operation and capacity will be subject to the NM public health orders and the county-by-county 3-tier system. 

• Advising: Available online, face-to-face, by appointment and walk-ins. Open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Bookstore: Students may place book orders during the Winter Break, orders will be processed beginning January 4. Student charging for Financial Aid for the spring semester begins January 5. For more information or for online book orders, visit the website.
• Computer Labs: Open with a limited capacity depending on the current public health orders.  View computer labs hours of operation.
• Computer Lab at East Campus: Open Monday-Friday noon to 7 p.m. beginning January 19.
• Financial Aid: Available online, face-to-face, by appointment and walk-ins. Open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Library: Open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Records and Registration: Open for walk-ins Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Recruitment and Admissions Office: Available online, face-to-face, by appointment and walk-ins. Open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Student Achievement Center: Coaches and services are available remotely and face-to-face by appointment. Open Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment
• Testing Center: Open with a limited capacity, call ahead for availability.
• Tutoring Center: Remote services and limited face-to-face services. Open Monday- Friday 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Spring semester classes begin on Tuesday, January 19. Classes in the spring semester will be offered mostly in an online or hybid format with a few classes offered in a face-to-face format.
