PowerSchool, the Student Information System (SIS) provider for Central Consolidated School District (CCSD), has informed certain parents and guardians about a cybersecurity incident. Those who received direct communication from PowerSchool might have had their student's data involved in this breach.

PowerSchool notified affected individuals via email regarding unauthorized access to personal information on December 28, 2024. The information potentially compromised includes names, contact details, dates of birth, Social Security Numbers, and limited medical alert information.

To assist those impacted, PowerSchool is offering two years of complimentary identity protection services for students and educators. Additionally, adult students and educators will receive two years of free credit monitoring services.
