San Juan County issued the following announcement on March 25.

No real change in the fire at this hour, all structures are still protected.
The fire will be turned over to BIA Wildland Fire Management - Navajo Region for command of the fire.

Update 2:56pm
This fire is now about 50 acres and pushed by high winds in bosque fuels. There are no additional structures threatened and no additional evacuations. Crews are conducting back burns to create a fire line and keep the fire from spreading.
The updated location of this fire is N267 and first lane.
Smoke is visible for miles around the county.
We are working with numerous agencies and appreciate the support of Navajo Nation Police Department, San Juan County Sheriff's Office, NM, Farmington Fire Department, BIA Fire and BLM fire. (And numerous county districts.)
Update: 12:03pm
This fire is about 20 acres in size, there have not been any structures lost, there are a few threatened at this time. One home has been evacuated and there is a shelter set up for those who may have to evacuate.
Firefighters are actively fighting this fire and have additional crews in place if the fire grows in size.

Crews are responding to a brushfire off of N 36 near 6100. Please avoid the area and follow this post for updates.
