In memory of those who have fallen this Memorial Day we couldn’t say it any better than The United States Air Force Band. Thank you to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and the ones they left behind.
MEMORIAL DAY | This Monday, we honor those who have died in the service of our great nation. Formerly called Decoration Day, Memorial Day became an official holiday in 1866. May 30th was chosen because it was a time when flowers would be blooming across the country that could be used to adorn the graves of those who had died in military service. To those who have given the last full measure of devotion, we honor your service, pay tribute to your lives, and thank you for your selfless sacrifice.
We'd like to thank Mr. Matthew Priest, Director of Culpeper National Cemetery, all of the staff at Culpeper National Cemetery, as well as Ms. Richelle Taylor, Public Affairs Specialist with the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, for their help making this tribute possible.
