This week we say goodbye to the one who is behind most of the funnier (and irreverent) posts on our social media accounts. (See previous post. It’s amazing what can happen with no fear of being sacked.)
Division Chief Jordan Richards is trading in his fire funnies for a set of wings and is leaving the department for the sky.
No, he isn’t dead, just dead to us.
For the last four years, soon-to-be-former-Chief Richards has been a source of lots of laughs, memes, and general joviality- when he wasn’t busy with recruiting efforts, taking care of all the tech, and, oh ya, putting out fires (literal and metaphorical too).
We will miss his wit and dedication to the volunteers of the county. We might even miss him a little bit.
For the record, as of the time this is posted, he has been removed from the account to keep him from any official-looking rebuttal. He will have to respond as himself and we doubt there will be any restraint or censorship.
He has been replaced (it wasn’t that hard) but you can look forward to better spelling and grammar from this page going forward. We will see if we can keep up the humor. That might actually be tough.
Look to learn more about the new recruitment and retention division chief in the coming months- he was promoted from within and we will post his old job soon.
For now, happy trails Jordan.
