Update 7:40pm: While attempting to serve a restraining order and eviction notice, deputies contacted the intended recipient who was in possession of a weapon, resulting in a deputy-involved shooting. No officers or uninvolved citizens were injured. The suspect was transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The San Juan County Regional Officer Involved Shooting Task Force is investigating with Farmington Police Department as lead investigators. This is an active investigation and more details will be released as they become available.
