From January 25, 2023 post.
Congratulations Ali! Ali was also a volunteer with our agency at San Juan County Fire & Rescue - District 2 Flora Vista for almost 5 years. In that time, she was voted San Juan County Fire’s EMT of the year in 2019. Keep doing amazing things Ali, YOU ROCK!!
This morning it is our great pleasure to congratulate former San Juan County Emergency Management Coordinator Ali Rye on her promotion to Deputy Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Ali came to us in 2017 from Arkansas (by way of Florida) and made Aztec and Farmington her home. In 2022, she became the Bureau Chief of Response and Recovery for DHSEM. The state may claim her for now, but she is, and will always be, a San Juan County girl at heart!
(We have it on good authority that she still likes us too, somewhat anyway)
Congrats, Ali!!
