The Drums of Summer event will take place in Shiprock on August 5th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Eva B. Stokely Elementary School Field. Hosted by the Central Consolidated School District, this event aims to bring families together, connect with the school community, and mark the beginning of the upcoming school year.
The evening will feature entertainment from multiple Powwow groups, singers, and dancers. Attendees can also look forward to free door prizes and giveaways. The Central Consolidated School District's Intercultural Community Outreach department invites all drums and entertainers to participate in the event.
The celebration will be broadcast live and streamed on the CCSD YouTube Channel for those unable to attend in person. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and canopies for comfort.
